The following trading terms and conditions apply to AAW Global Logistics Pty Ltd in Australia and AAW Global Logistics (NZ) Ltd in New Zealand. Please read these conditions carefully as they govern any contractual relationship between you, the customer, and us, unless and until they are amended with alternative contractual arrangement entered between you, the customer and us.
We have updated our Trading Terms and Conditions, primarily in response to legislative amendments to the Heavy Vehicle National Law that came into force in October 2018. At the same time, we have improved the overall effectiveness of these terms, including an adjustment of Clause 14 in relation to “Amount of Compensation”.
As a result of the Company now providing services in New Zealand, these Terms and Conditions have been updated to reflect New Zealand legislative requirements for when the services are provided in New Zealand.
We would also like to take this opportunity to advise you that the limit of liability for Carriers in respect of loss or damage to goods shipped by air, pursuant to the Montreal Convention 1999, increased from 19 SDR to 22 SDR, effective from 28 December 2019.
Taking into consideration the limitations and defences available by law to carriers and freight forwarders to limit or exclude liability for loss and damage to cargo, we strongly encourage you to have your own marine or air cargo insurance to protect your interests against unexpected circumstances.
If you need guidance on either marine or air cargo insurance, we can assist with that, please contact your customer service or sales representative in your local branch for further information.
