With the exit of Car manufacturing from Australia the manufacturing Presses were sold to other car manufacturers around the globe. In this case we were tasked with developing suitable packaging & shipping solutions from Melbourne through to Germany. The packing list included 36 over sized pieces & 16 x 40’ containers. With 16 of these items exceeding 70 tons it was important that the packaging solution allowed for lifting & lashing points across land & sea transportation. Each item was carefully packaged including protective bags & shrink wrap to minimise moisture content that could damage the sensitive surfaces. Coordinating the lifting & transportation of this many pieces to meet a single vessel required precise planning & execution.
